About Victoria

I’ve been practising yoga for over ten years and teaching for five, beginning with Vinyasa, a flowing style that links movement with breath. Since my initial training, I’ve continued to study anatomy, movement, and neuroscience, learning from experts including Dr Liz Lindh, Jason Crandell, and Celest Pereira.

Over the years, I’ve personally navigated aches, pains, and injuries, and discovered that what works for others doesn’t always work for me. Exploring neuroscience and understanding that movement starts in the brain completely changed the way I train and teach. Shifting my focus from muscles alone to the brain-body connection has allowed me to move with more confidence, ease, and resilience.

I apply these principles not only in yoga but also in climbing and a wide variety of sports. I work with clients of all ages and abilities, from athletes seeking peak performance to mothers, grandmothers, and anyone who wants to move more comfortably and confidently in their everyday lives. Watching people discover new ways to move and feel the difference it makes in their bodies and their daily life is the most rewarding part of my work.

Most of us already use our brains to guide movement without realising it. By learning simple, practical tools to support the nervous system, we can move more efficiently, reduce strain, and improve how our bodies feel day to day. My goal is to help people feel stronger, more capable, and inspired to enjoy the activities they love, whether that’s yoga, climbing, running, or simply moving well in everyday life.

At Victoria Mackie Yoga & Movement, our mission is to empower individuals through a unique fusion of mindfulness and movement. We aim to cultivate a harmonious balance of physical strength, mental clarity, and spiritual well-being for our participants. By guiding them through mindful movement practices while challenging their bodies and minds, we strive to create a transformative experience that transcends traditional yoga sessions.

Through our coaching sessions, we seek to inspire a deeper connection with oneself and the world around us, fostering a sense of inner peace and vitality. Our ultimate goal is to offer a safe, inclusive space where individuals can explore their potential, improve their overall wellness, and embark on a journey of self-discovery.
